Project 52 Week Two: Epilogue
Okay, I promise after this normal service will be resumed and I’ll go back to pretending to be cool and will be quiet about comics for another week.
…But has anyone else noticed the mysterious fellas in multi-coloured robes popping up in the background of the New 52 comics?
It seems DC are pulling a Tyler Durden/Blue Sun/Who Watches The Watchmen on us. I love this kind of thing, planting an idea one level above subliminal. It teases, and makes me feel really sharp-eyed and clever.
But most importantly, as discussion centres on whether this relaunch was necessary/useful/important, it’s doing something unusually and subtly joined-up for comics that takes full advantage of the way they’re launching.
So, are they in every comic? So far I’ve spotted ‘em in Action Comics, Justice League International and Swamp Thing. Please let me know if you’ve seen them elsewhere.
And who the hell are they? It’s itching at my brain, this little puzzle.
